Your home is your castle, and you’re proud of it. Except… you hate your kitchen. This is a very common problem!
DIY Network offers clever and affordable kitchen-reno ideas that don’t require truckloads of cash, a bank loan, a demolition team or a divorce lawyer. I Hate My Kitchen is one of three new series premiering in May on Canada’s DIY Network, joining the ranks with Jeff Devlin’s grimy-to-gorgeous I Hate My Bath show.
Sometimes it’s not enough to just showcase home improvement ideas; DIY Network provides professional advice and step-by-step instruction on how to get the ball rolling and actually do it yourself.
But what can you do if a contractor leaves you in the lurch with shoddy plumbing or structurally unstable workmanship? Licensed contractor John DeSilvia comes to your aid with Rescue My Renovation, premiering May 28.
Also new to DIY Network this month is Salvage Dawgs (pictured), an insider’s view of a Virginia-based salvage business that rescues valuable architectural materials from older homes and public buildings with a view to recycling them and preserving some historical gems.
New season premieres this month include Season 2 of “contractor to the stars” Stephen Fanuka’s Million Dollar Contractor, Season 3 of the “hottest must-haves” series I Want That and Season 4 of interior designer Anitra Mecadon’s rec-room reno show Mega Dens.
Every Saturday and Sunday, DIY Network offers seven-hour marathon broadcasts of a single series. For hardcore DIYers, the marathons extend to 20 hours over the Victoria Day weekend.
