  1.  Ensure that the problem isn’t an uncharged battery.
  2.  If your tablet froze while using an app, try pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until a red slider appears on the screen. Then, press and hold the Home button until the troublesome app quits.
  3.  If that doesn’t work, turn the tablet off, then turn it on again. To do so, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears, then drag the slider. Then, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
  4.  If that doesn’t work, reset your iPad by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
