You’re shooting a video. You see a perfect still picture. Here’s how to get the best of both worlds if you’re using Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or above.
1. Open the Camera app and switch to video recording mode.
2. Tap the red “record” button to capture video.
3. To snap a still, simply tap on the screen.
4. A white border will briefly appear around your video frame, so you know your still was captured.
Tip: On the Samsung Galaxy S III, tap the small camera icon that appears in the top right (when shooting in landscape mode) to snap a still.
