Bluetooth on your Android device lets you connect wirelessly to a wide array of accessories: Headsets, speakers, keyboards, you can even connect a Bluetooth mouse and use your smartphone like a computer. Here’s how to get your Bluetooth accessory talking to your phone:

  1. In the app tray, open the Settings app.
  2. You’ll see Bluetooth up near the top of the page. Tap to enter Bluetooth settings.
  3. Tap the switch for Bluetooth to turn it on if it isn’t already so.
  4. Place your Bluetooth device into pairing mode. The way to do this will vary from device to device. Check your Bluetooth device’s manual for specific instructions.
  5. You’ll see your Bluetooth device appear in the Available Devices list.
  6. Tap the entry to begin pairing.
  7. Enter the passcode or PIN for your Bluetooth device. OR
  8. If you’re pairing with a tablet or another Bluetooth-enabled phone, confirm that the same passcode appears on both screens and tap Pair to complete the pairing.

Tip: Try the common passcodes 0000 or 1234 when pairing. If these don’t work, check your Bluetooth device’s manual for the proper pairing code or search for your device on
